As the holiday season and the Chicago Winter approach, Emporium Popups and Emporium Chicago have decided to use the pop-up space at 2367 N. Milwaukee Ave in the Logan Square neighborhood of Chicago as a hub for charity benefitting those in need across our city and our country.
Starting on Friday, November 9th through Saturday, December 2nd, the “GOODBAR” project will operate as a charity driven popup bar and donation drop-off location. The space will be outfitted with multiple receptacles designated for charity donations.
Goodbar will be accepting winter clothing (coats, scarves, gloves, and hats) to be donated to the WARMEST WINTER initiative operated be SocialWorks. Social Works’ Warmest Winter aims to raise awareness and provide relief for the homeless and transient community through forward-thinking service, experiences, and donations.
Goodbar will be accepting non-perishable food items to be donated to the Greater Chicago Food Depository. The Greater Chicago Food Depository’s mission is to provide food for hungry people while striving to end hunger in our communities.
Goodbar will be accepting toys (new & unused) to be donated to the Chicago Toys for Tots program. The Marine Toys for Tots has been delivering a message of hope to less fortunate youths since 1947 by providing toys and support during the Holiday season.
In addition to receiving these donations, Goodbar will also be partnering with local and regional breweries and liquor brands to curate a drink menu from which a portion of every sale will be donated to various local charities.
Goodbar is also planning to act as a host for varying charitable events benefitting the communities and charitable organizations of Chicago throughout the course of this project. If you or your organization would like to host and/or be a part of an event, please send all inquiries to: firstname.lastname@example.org
